At 1800 hours on Friday, September 11th, firefighters from the 8th Division gathered at the Firefighters Memorial in Cochran Park, Peconic, to remember their fallen brothers. Organized and directed each year by the Southold Town Fire Chiefs Council, the 9/11 Memorial Service is a solemn reminder of the personal sacrifices made by firefighters everywhere in the service of their communities.
