Peconic Plunge

Southold Fire Department stood by for the Peconic Plunge sponsered by Maureen's Haven held at Founders Landing. All plungers survived the 39 degree water and some brave participants stayed in for an extended swim. Southold Water Rescue Team deployed the Zodiac and had 2 members in cold water rescue suits standing by. Also on scene was an ambulance staffed with EMT's. Chiefs Killian and Byrnes along with Captain Bellomo handled Incident Command.
