| Shortly before Noon on Monday, June 6th, Southold FD was dispatched for an MVA with injuries at the intersection of County Route 448 and Tuckers Lane. Responding units found a Porsche had been struck on the driver's door side by a Ford Bronco resulting in a substantial intrusion into the passenger compartment trapping the driver. Operations were directed by Chief Damianos and Assistant Chief Surozenski. Cutchogue FD was requested to respond for additional assistance at the scene. Following an extended extrication, the driver was transported to PBMC for treatment of his injuries. The driver of the Bronco self extricated and was transported to ELIH. Fine job was done by all showing how teamwork and proficiency is maintained by our constant training to which all members are welcomed to attend. Next vehicle extrication training session will be on Tuesday, June 14th. |
