At 12:47 on Sunday November 20, Southold Fire Department was dispatched to a Sig 12 Brush Fire reported by neighborhood residents near Indian Neck Lane. Upon arrival at the scene 1st Asst Chief David Surozenski quickly determined that it was actually a structure fire and dispatched units to the scene. Although the garage was heavily damaged SFD fire fighters attacked the blaze from the side and front with two hose teams and were able to douse the flames and bring the fire under control before any damage to nearby homes was incurred. Thankfully no injuries were reported to either civilians or firefighters.
