Early morning Sunday June 19, 2022.

Southold FD Rescue Squad, Heavy Rescue and firefighters were called to the scene of an MVA, car v. pole, to extricate the trapped driver from the wreckage. By happenstance an off-duty SB medic was passing the scene moments after the occurrence and began emergency treatment. Two other SB medics starting their shifts were also quick to respond to the scene and began stabilization treatment of the victim. An all-out effort by SFD volunteers was required due to the severity of the collision.
