Continuing our monthly training with the new 5" Large Diameter Hose (LDH), a group of hardy firefighters, some feeling the chill in the Spring air more than others, gathered at the Southold School Campus to practice deployment, hook-up and packing. LDH changes many of the procedures we have used in the past at working fires, so if you haven't been to one of our hands-on training yet, please attend and familiarize yourself with our new way of doing things, If nothing else, you'll be amazed at the amount of water we can move and you'll have some fun with other firefighters.
