On Friday, October 24th, members of the Southold Fire Department who completed the Water Rescue Certification course traveled to Riverhead Fire Department to join with other East End departments who had completed the course to receive their individual certificates and to be welcomed into the Coast Guard's expanding network of assets prepared to assist at marine incidents. SFD members receiving certificates were Chiefs Killian and Rich together with firefighters Boyd, B. Byrnes, Damianos, Kehl, Layton, McCarthy, Pickerell, Rumpler, M. Salmon. D. Surozenski and Turner.
