As has been done every year since 2002, members of the SFD assembled in the early morning hours of 9/11 to raise the Department's ceremonial flag in front of Headquarters. This day of remembrance will culminate with a ceremony at the Firefighters' Memorial in Cochran Park, Peconic, at 1800 hours.
