This morning at 11:12 Southold Fire Department responded to a 13/35 basement fire. Upon arrival the family was out of the residence stating that the fire is in the basement one person with burns was transported by ambulance to a waiting helicopter to go to Stonybrook Hospital. Arriving at the scene first Officer noted that there was heavy smoke coming from the residence.

Fire was put out in approx 30-40 minutes.

Trucks responding were, 8-4-2, 8-4-4, 8-4-1,-8-4-16, 8-4-17, 8-4-11. And 3 Chiefs.
