September 11, 2018, a soft morning in Southold when dedicated members of SFD hoisted their largest flag in front of Headquarters to commemorate the 17th Anniversary of the horrific attacks upon our County by the forces of evil. Never Forget.

Later in the day, SFD participated in the annual ceremony sponsored by the Southold Town Fire Chiefs Council at Fireman's Field in Cochran Park.
Unit 8-4-1 hoisted its flag along with a unit from Plum Island while members of the Department paid solemn tribute to the lives and National innocence lost on 9/11.
