December 13, 2017

On Thursday, December 28, the Southold Fire Department and the North Fork Volunteer Rescue Squad Association (NFVRSA) will host a very important Opioid Overdose Prevention/NARCAN Training Program from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at SFD's Headquarters at 55135 Main Road, Southold. This program is open to all members of the North Fork community and offers an opportunity to learn about the latest, most potent and most dangerous Opioid substances. All participants will receive training in the proper administration of the Opioid antidote NARCAN and will be supplied with a NARCAN kit to use in case of emergency. Seating for this program is limited, so it is necessary for all to register by calling SFD at (631)765-3385 or by email to nfvrsa@aol.com. As everyone knows, Opioid use and overdose is one of the most serious problems facing our communities. Please make time to attend this program so you will be able to identify Opioid problems and provide assistance when necessary.
